Courthouse Research Companies: Wolfgang Research

There are three major courthouse research companies out there, that do the kind of work I have been talking about lately. There are many, many companies out there that do other types of research (criminal background checks, liens on properties, and genealogy research, just to name a few) and although I’m sure those types of research are very profitable, I don’t personally have any experience with them, and wouldn’t know how to tell y’all how to become that type of researcher. The research I did, and the research I talked about in my previous blogs, is very simple and does not require any previous experience in order to be hired.

So having clarified all that, I wanted to talk about the three research companies that do hire for this kind of work: Sunlark Research, AMD Research, and Wolfgang Research. I worked for Sunlark when I personally was doing this kind of work, but I have heard from various sources that all three companies are good to work for, pay on time, and are otherwise legitimate.

Although I have already talked about this, I just wanted to reconfirm that the three companies usually do not allow one researcher to work for another research company. When I e-mailed Wolfgang and asked them to tell me anything they would want passed on to my readers, they told me the following:

“One note you might want to make clear, is that we don’t share researchers, neither does Sunlark or AMD. If you work for one, then you should not work for another. I have heard third-hand about Sunlark and AMD, and believe that to be their policy as well. I can speak for Wolfgang Research, and clarify that it is our policy that our researchers can only work for one research team “unless” they discuss it “first” with Wolfgang and he determines that it is “not” a conflict of interest with our other clients.”

My thoughts on it are this: Apply to all three companies, and see who has a need in your area, and go from there. The three companies pay a different rate per record, so there is that to keep in mind. Since there is such an emphasis on being in the right place (you cannot take a job for Las Vegas if you’re in New Hampshire) then there is a very good chance (almost 100%) that not all three companies are going to need your help. Apply to all three, and see where it goes from there.

In my next blog, I will cover Sunlark Research, and then lastly AMD Research. Thanks for reading!
