Well, you know you must have hit rock bottom when Courtney Love, often a train wreck herself, offers you advice. Courtney has come out publicly to urge Britney Spears to get the help she needs. Courtney said, “I know exactly what’s going on, having been there. If she doesn’t get help something very, very bad is gonna happen.”
Courtney should know. She herself was committed to the hospital three years ago, being wheeled in from the ambulance on a gurney ala Britney. Courtney might have gone out on a limb when talking to “Access Hollywood,” saying that only she, Britney, and Marilyn Monroe had been strapped to a gurney.
She did say that there is no shame in Britney getting treatment for bipolar issues, that “It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt it’s a genetic condition and it’s a disease.”
But, Courtney didn’t save all her words of wisdom for Britney. She also said she confronted Lindsay Lohan over her drug use, saying “I went up to Lohan’s room one time and there was a show on called 101 Celebrity Oops, and I’m, like, every other one–boobs out, legs akimbo, throwing s**t at Madonna. I’m like, ‘Lindsay look, drugs are bad!” And goodness knows Courtney should know!
It seems that after Britney receives treatment, she will be moved back to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney’s lawyer, Michael Flanagan, has said that mother Lynne is waiting for Britney to be discharged so she can take her back to their Kentwood home. He said “Lynne is extremely concerned for her daughter and would like to take Britney back home to Louisiana and get her out of Hollywood. Brit has an amazing support system in Louisiana.”
Lynne certainly has her hands full with Britney’s seemingly never ending meltdown and teenage daughter Jaime Lynn’s pregnancy. However, Flanagan said Lynne is holding up reasonably well and her main concern is helping Britney through this tough situation.
