Does your puppy love to play? How about your kitty? Even older dogs and cats enjoy being playful sometimes.
These projects will help you make easy toys for your pets:
Squeaky Mouse
You will need a squeaker from another toy, or a very small toy that contains a squeaker. You will also need some felt. It can be any color you like, but you may want gray or white so it looks more like a mouse. Cut out a circle. Fold it in half. Put the squeaker inside along with some fiberfill (pillow stuffing). Have a grown up help you sew the edges closed or glue the edges with fabric glue. Draw a face with a permanent marker. You can also sew on tiny ears and a tail.
Tuggy Toy
This one is really easy. You just need three pieces of thick rope, about 18” long. Hold the three pieces together, tie a knot to secure them to each other, and then braid them. Tie another knot at the bottom for a quick and easy tuggy toy.
Another idea is to use old (but clean) tube socks instead of rope. Just follow the directions above.
*You can always use a tennis ball for a dog toy too. Throw it and teach your dog to fetch.
