Sundays are always a busy day for us. We have church in the morning and the evening. We are running around like crazy all day long. Today was not much different except we had an obligation during the afternoon. So from the alarm clock going off we knew we would be busy. We expected crazy with children in the mix.
My preschooler comes in my room wearing this tutu dress that is so short if she bends even the slightest her undies are shown to the world. I inform her that she will have to change her clothes. She seems shocked but heads to her room and changes into the outfit I put out for her the night before. Then I hear crying and arguing as her big sister braids her hair. Finally, we are ready to leave. On the way she informed us that her stomach hurt.
We come home and everything seemed fine. We head to run errands and notice the time is getting late. So we head to church. On the way, my little one gets sick and vomits all over the backseat. We immediately head back home to clean up. Cleaning up is a huge chore. My husband cleans the car, my son hoses down the booster seat, and I get the sick little one in the shower. It was a bit of a group effort. Once everything is cleaned up we decide she is not going back to church. Half of us leave while the other half stay home for the evening. She continues to get sick. Poor baby.
It seems something is always happening when you have kids. Even the simplest of tasks can be turned into a wild time. Just driving to your destination can result in complications. Everyday is an adventure with a child!
