I love making lists. It is very satisfying to make a list and see everything that needs to be done all in one place. Maybe that is why I really enjoyed reading Creating Keepsakes Top 10 Issue that recently came out. They cover 9 topics and include a list of their top 10 ideas for that topic.
This issue is part of the regular Creating Keepsakes subscription, but if you are not a subscriber, you can pick up your own copy at your favorite scrapbook, craft store or online at Creating Keepsakes.
I think this issue has a great balance of layout ideas, favorite product picks and personal scrapbooker stories.
The first section in the magazine contains 10 designs for speed layouts. Each layout includes a sketch and instructions on how to complete the layout. The designs are all simple (which I love) but have interesting elements that make each layout special.
Ali Edwards wrote my favorite section of the magazine. She shares 10 ways to include more photos on a layout. I love Ali’s clean style with creative touches. She has a wonderful eye for design and her layouts always have something that inspires and idea of something that I want to try to incorporated into my layouts.
Another section in the magazine is 10 Creative Ways to Use Ribbon. Jennifer McGuire who is a regular contributor to Creating Keepsakes and writes the Tool Time article each month wrote this article. She always comes up with really fun and creative ideas for using basic supplies. This article is filled with some really great ways to incorporate ribbon into your layouts and projects.
If you are looking for a fun read that is filled with some really great scrapbooking ideas, I recommend picking up the 2007 Creating Keepsakes Top 10 Issue.
