Did you know that The Children’s Place also sells adult clothes? Well, a few pieces, anyway. These rugby shirts came out in sizes for the whole family. The idea was for matching outfits. Apparently, they sold more children’s than adults because the adult ones have been marked way down to only $3.99 from $24.50.
My favorite one is the one that’s pictured here. It reminds me of Joseph’s coat of many colors! You can get a matching or contrasting scarf for another $1.99. They still have sizes left in children’s and adults, so for less than $8 you can be warm together. My teens would probably rather be slow roasted over hot coals than be seen in matching outfits with their mother, but my daughters liked it when they were younger, and we have several photos of dad and the boys dressed alike.
It’s still cold here in Washington; as a matter of fact, we have snow predicted for tonight. So bring on all the cold weather clearance sales. I love the savings! We won’t need to sock things away for next year.

For that price, you’d be lucky to get a cheap windbreaker from the thrift shop.
