Quite often, I come across really cute stuff that just inspires ideas for home decorating. Some ideas are inspired by crafts, clothing, and more, while others are basically new ways to implement other decorating ideas. Here are some examples that can be used for cute accents in kid’s rooms:
Fresh as a Daisy
I saw a cute craft project the other day, one to make a spring cap for a little girl. 
It was a simple baseball cap, covered with brightly colored felt flowers and buttons. It made me think of doing something similar for a décor element in a little girl’s room. Instead of a cap, I thought a similar method would be adorable on a lampshade. And, instead of multicolored flowers, I thought daisies would be darling. Daisies cut from pretty fabric could be hot glued onto a plain lampshade and a yellow button could be added to the center of each flower. Sunflowers would also be cute, with golden petals and big, brown buttons. Some artificial greenery or leaves and stems cut from green fabric would finish off the fresh look. This idea can also be repeated on other treatments besides lampshades.
A Sporting Chance
Another cute idea inspired me for something to use in a little boy’s room. I don’t remember where I saw it, because it was some time ago, but their was a peg rack on the wall with different types of hats for first responders. A policeman’s cap, a fire hat, etc. There were emergency signs as well and I thought it was a great idea for a little boy’s room. I thought a similar method would be cute, but with sports. Hang a baseball cap, a football helmet, a variety of sporting gear as accessories to decorate a sports themed room instead of sticking to just one sport, and make signs to go along with it like one that says “home run” and one that says “touchdown,” for example.
