“Dancing with the Stars” the Truth Finally Comes Out

Come on, is there any fan of “Dancing with the Stars” that truly believes that Marie Osmond should be dancing in tonight’s final?

Bless the woman’s heart (and her dancing skills), but let’s be realistic here. It’s no secret that the 48-year-old singer was carried to the final three based on two words: sympathy vote. The mom of eight has a huge fan base that obviously felt compelled to call and text in by the tens of thousands especially once they saw their beloved Osmond collapse on national TV, deal with the death of her father, and come clean about the fact that her 16-year-old son entered rehab—all while she was shimming and shaking in front of millions.

Now, finally, a member of the “Dancing” family is stepping out and saying what throngs of devoted fans (and likely other ousted contestants) have been thinking for the past few weeks.

Pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy couldn’t hold his tongue any longer. In an interview conducted today, Mel B’s sexy dancing partner told TV’s Extra that Osmond is not on par with the other remaining competitors in tonight’s finale.

Ya think?

“Frankly, I think there were a lot of other people better than Marie,” Chmerkovskiy told Extra.

The outspoken high stepper also noted that Osmond has clearly garnered public sympathy following the challenges she has faced in the last few weeks.

“I know firsthand there are a lot of celebrities on the show that went through similar situations [family issues] this season and decided not to make it public,” Chmerkovskiy said.

No word on how Osmond is reacting to Chmerkovskiy’s statements, but Donny’s sister did confirm to Extra that her son Michael, who entered a rehabilitation facility a few weeks ago, will be in the audience for the finale along with six of his siblings.

Make no mistake, I have nothing against Marie Osmond. On the contrary I applaud her flexibility and showmanship. She’s done a heck of a job, but I think it’s a general consensus among “Dancing” fans that tonight’s final should have included Helio Castroneves, Mel B and… Sabrina Bryan.

Who do you think should be dancing in tonight’s finale?
