Did you get caught up in this season’s “Dancing with the Stars?” My friend has been a die-hard fan since the very first season. I reluctantly got sucked in during season two and have been hooked ever since. The show is currently on hiatus, set to return in a few months for a new season of high kicking, booty shaking thrills and spills. A few months is practically an eternity for fans such as my friend who could barely make it from the show’s Tuesday dance off to Wednesday night’s results show.
Thankfully, there is relief from the pains of “Dancing” withdrawals (besides watching the season over and over on Tivo). A “Dancing with the Stars” tour could soon be visiting a city near you. When it does you will be able to watch celebs from past seasons including Drew Lachey, Harry Hamlin Joey Lawrence, Joey McIntyre, Lisa Rinna and Jerry Springer and their professional dancer partners shake their stuff in person.
And, for all of you Sara Evans’ fans… despite the fact that the star quit the show in October when her marriage fell apart (you’ll remember Evans announced she was leaving the ABC competition the same day she filed for divorce from Craig Schelske, her husband of 13 years) she too will be part of the show’s road tour—for one night only. And she won’t have to travel far from home to do so. Evans has agreed to perform with her fellow TV fancy footers in Nashville on January 21st.
“I can’t wait to see everyone again and be a part of the show,” the country singer said in a press release. “Hopefully there will be some down time so I can take them to some of my favorite places in Nashville.”
I’m sure Evans’ fans are kicking up their heels in delight. Given her current situation I can certainly see why she could not join the rest of the stars on the remainder of tour. After all, she has three kids ages 7, 3 and 2, and is involved in a nasty custody battle with her husband… and that’s on top of the ugly accusations both parties have hurled at each other regarding adulterous affairs. I’m sure the dance pit stop will serve as a welcome distraction for her.
Will you be attending one of the shows?
