Date Night Ideas

It is important for married couples to get away by themselves on a regular basis. Lives often get in the way of marriages, from the responsibilities of jobs and kids, to individual interests. Couples starting out usually have a good number of date nights, but the ones that need it the most may just be the couples who have been together for a while.

I know it isn’t always easy to get time alone, but planning something, even if it is a quick movie while the kids are in bed, is always a good idea.

Here are some date night ideas that you may like to explore.

How about the classic dinner and a movie? Before we moved to the home that we currently have, we lived in amore suburban area. There was a local pizza restaurant that would make heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s day. I since learned that you can request a heart-shaped pizza from practically any pizza place at any time.

Try something new together and maybe a little dangerous or exciting. Studies have shown that men and women bond more closely and have feelings of love and attachment arise when they are doing something that is exciting. Take a look at what might be available in your area. Go rock climbing, race cars on a track, ride a roller coaster, etc.

If you can’t get away, as mentioned above, there are still several ways to have a date night at home. You can take a bath together, complete with bubble bath and candles, try some new sexy food such as fondue or a chocolate fountain, or give each other massages. Some couples find it stimulating to pick an interesting topic or book and then come together to discuss it.

Make a change to the normal routine, such as getting up very early to watch the sunrise followed by an indulgent breakfast out.

I hope these ideas will get you started on your way to your own date night.
