I’ve discovered that Valentine’s Day is a great way to practice writing. So has my daughter, much to her chagrin, as she works on printing Valentines neatly. Neatness is not at the top of her priority list, but I’ve emphasized that people like to receive legible love notes. Picky, picky.
If you’re creating some Valentine’s Day goodies and doing some covert printing practice too, you’ll love these Valentine’s Day printables!
Of course, the ultimate Valentine’s Day printable is the card itself! There are many, many free cards on the internet, and you can also print out heart shapes by the dozen. If you want to look for something a little different, why not go retro? Hearts Atwirl has such sweet printable Valentines from years gone by! You’ll need a color printer and some stiff card if you want to craft these into Valentines. What a good discussion point these cards could be – about love, marriage, and rhymes from the past!
One of my favorite gifts to give is Love Coupons. Now, I don’t always call them that, but for years I’ve given people coupons to different events for their birthdays. Once I gave my mom a year of coupons for a flower arrangement that I would bring her every month. These love coupons are perfect for kids, who are people who have limited funds and lots of love to give! They can give hugs, kisses, household help, and show their love in so many different ways using love coupons.
How about a goodie bag for your friends and family? Print a bag with do it yourself printable Valentine’s Day stamps. Fill it up with your Valentines and love
coupons!
Once you’ve finished all of that hard work, how about some Valentine’s Day Bingo? Bingo is a good way for younger children to practice their number recognition. While I’m no bingo fanatic, my daughter thinks that it is the most fun ever! Perhaps they could win some candy hearts? Or Love Coupons? No, come to think of it, those are always free.
Have a Happy Valentine’s Day, and keep up with the covert printing practice! I won’t tell.
