It also talked about how Heavenly Father announced the birth of Jesus to the Nephites. The overall tone of the lesson was that Heavenly Father loves us and blessed with the day (and the sun) and night (and the moon and stars). You may want to review these stories with your family.
If you have a child who is between the ages of four and seven she learned that Heavenly Father watches over us. The children were encouraged to memorize 1 Corinthians 2:9.
For all members fourteen and older the lesson was on 2 Nephi 6-10. The lesson focused on the Atonement of Christ. The lesson talked about how the Atonement can save us from both temporal and spiritual death. Additionally the lesson discussed how our actions may prevent us from being fully able to benefit from the Atonement. Finally the lesson reminded us that the Lord keeps his covenants with his people. Next week’s reading is 2 Nephi 11-25.
