Disney online has been big news lately. They’ve been putting a good deal of work and creativity into their website and it shows. Did you know they have newsletters now? I’m not talking about just any old newsletter either. Every week, I receive via email the Family Fun Weekender and I just love it!
FamilyFun.com is a new addition to the Disney family of websites and is associated with the print version of Disney’s Family Fun Magazine. You can subscribe to the print magazine for only $1 per issue, which is a great deal, but an even better deal is to get the weekly newsletters and browse the website for free. The website includes great information on things to do with kids like crafts, games, travel, parties, recipes for kid-friendly cooking and even printables for your young, budding artist.
What I love about the free email newsletter I receive from Family Fun is the fact that it is short, provides usable information and doesn’t waste my time with a lot of ads. Did I mention that it arrives on Wednesday so that I have time to read it and then plan to do some of the projects mentioned in it on the weekend? Somebody was thinking when they planned the publishing schedule.
Projects include things to make and do with your children as well as things kids can do on their own with little to no parental supervision. The really interesting projects have links to video instructions like these for the monster cupcakes shown here.
As I mentioned, there isn’t a great deal of ad space on these newsletters and the ads they do have are usually pretty helpful like offers to stay at Disney Resorts for $58 a night and information on new DVD releases. You can sign up for the Family Fun Weekender by following this link.
