The 45 acre Barefoot Bay is surrounded by six Caribbean islands: Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, Jamaica, and Trinidad North and South. Buildings are painted in pastel colors like you’d find in the Caribbean and the islands have nothing but white sand on their beaches, well, you will find a comfortable hammock to relax on as well. Some beaches have playgrounds for the kids and the little island in the center of Barefoot Bay, Parrot Cay, has plenty to keep young water lovers amused.
There are 2,112 guest rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort and each measures a spacious 340 square feet. The Caribbean Beach Resort is considered one of the moderately priced Walt Disney World resorts. Standard views will have you looking out on some lovely gardens or the parking lot. For a little more money, you can get a water view of either a pool or the bay.
Rooms here have either two double beds or one king sized bed and are furnished with a table and chairs, nightstand, TV and dresser. A coffee maker, bedrails, crib, and an iron and ironing board are all available on request.
Limited room service is available as well as a food court. Don’t forget your refillable mug! The Captains Tavern is a sit down style restaurant that provides dinner only.
Six pools and a themed larger pool at Old Port Royale as well as a hot tub are available for your swimming enjoyment. While the islands have beaches for sunbathing, swimming is strictly prohibited.
Boats and bikes are available for rental and use on the jogging path that surrounds Barefoot Bay.
An arcade, guest laundry, and gift shop are available for guests. Babysitting is also available for those parents who would enjoy an evening out without the kids in tow. As always, free transportation to and from the Disney parks and access to Extra Magic Hours and E-Ride nights are the standard benefits to staying at a Walt Disney World resort.
