Distance Learning Homeschool Programs Co-Et

In my post on hybrid homeschooling, I talked about combining homeschooling with distance learning or local classes. Here is the list of Distance Learning Programs you can use.

Core Curriculum of America provides of secular and non-denominational Christian based curriculum. The program is for students k-12 and includes all materials, as well as record keeping forms. A certificate of completion is also included. Curiculum is customized for each student and prices range from $399.00 to $419.00.

Desiderata School provides accredited curriculum for grades K-12. There is an independent/ directed study program for students within 50 miles of a student center, and a correspondence study program that requires at least 1 contact a week. Prices range from $175.00 – $500.00 a month depending on the program and amount of contacts.

Eagle Christian is an accredited online Christian Jr. High and High school. Parents are considered an integral part of the program. Part time students pay $275.00 per class each semester and full time students pay $970.00 per semester. There is a discount for families with multiple children. This program is an extension of Valley Christian School in Missoula Montana.

Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) at Stanford University is a continuing project dedicated to developing and offering multimedia computer-based distance-learning courses for Grades K-12. Students are assigned to course instructors who can support them telephone, email, and a virtual classroom. Students must pass an aptitude test to use this program. Summer programs are also available. Tuition is $495.00 to $740.00 per course, which may last one or two quarters.

eTutor Independent Study Program offers Interactive online lesson modules that users can access from anywhere, at any time. E-Tutor uses a guided study program that provides a tutor and parent tools. Student can also do independent study. The K-12 home education program starts at $100.00 a month.
