I will admit I love to workout. I love how it makes me feel afterwards and I love how much better I sleep at night, even though I work out in the morning. I just love exercising.
I will admit however, that I don’t love working out for long periods of time. I try to limit my workouts to less than an hour. I have two small children that I must tend to, so working out any longer than an hour, then trying to get ready for the day is almost impossible if my workout runs any longer than hour.
I also have my days when I simply don’t want to work out at all, but I still make sure I do. Today was one of those days, I just didn’t feel like working out, my husband worked very early this morning and wasn’t around to help me with the boys while I worked out. I knew that I needed to exercise because I had Chinese last night and I needed to work that off. So, what did I do? I got out my trusted The Firm Cardio Sculpt Blaster.
It is a great workout in 30 minutes. This DVD gives you 30 minutes of heart-pumping cardio along with light weights. You also need The Firm Fanny Lifter, however you can use a regular step if you don’t have the Fanny Lifter. The workout itself is quite easy, you do a warm-up, a cardio routine, a step routine, a routine with light weights, then some more cardio and another light weight routine, ending with a cool down.
The moves in this DVD are basic moves and pretty easy to follow. I do recommend watching the workout once or twice before actually doing it, because at times the instructor, Lisa Kay, doesn’t do the best cuing. If you watch it before hand, you will know what is coming up. I have done this workout enough that I can do it in my sleep, so I am confident that even beginning exercisers can catch on to the moves.
I also love that Lisa, the instructor, was at one time an overweight woman who began doing The Firm workouts and lost a lot of weight. She is now a Firm instructor. It is pretty motivating to see a real woman with a real shape instruct a workout video. As with every Firm workout I have done, there is always a woman doing the exercises for beginners. This way, if you are just starting out, watching Libby will help ease you into the moves.
I will say it again; I have done tons of workout videos. None of them have toned my body and helped me to look leaner than The Firm workouts. I believe in them. They really do work and on top of that, they are fun!
