Kissing has been an act of affection now for a long time. Many teens use kissing as the first experience of intimacy. The kiss seals the marriage at a wedding.
Kissing actually began in prehistoric times. Noting that young often choked on food and thrived much better from softened pre-chewed food, mothers would chew food and then feed their young mouth to mouth. The mouth-to-mouth closeness became a sign of trust, love, and caring. Those signs still exist today.
Many women enjoy kissing their mate. To women kissing creates an emotional bond between the two persons. Kissing is very special and sacred to most ladies. I can remember watching the timeless classic Pretty Woman. It was the code of the night woman (Julia Roberts) not to kiss her business partner on the lips. Kissing was saved for someone special that she loved. Women find kissing to be sensual and passionate. They use their heart and emotions in a kiss.
Men often do not share this idea of kissing that women hold dear. According to surveys, men do not enjoy kissing as much as women enjoy it. While women find kissing to be a bonding and emotional process, men use kissing to lead to other acts. Many men do not enjoy ‘just kissing’ their mate without it leading to something more. From a kiss they usually tread in other waters. Some men use a kiss to test the women to see if she is interested in him in intimate terms.
I have also heard other comments about kissing on television shows and from couples that I know. The phrase, “It was just a kiss”, is popular. To many women, a kiss is not just a kiss. It is much more. A woman can feel just as violated if her mate kisses another woman as she would if more had occurred.
