It may not feel like it, but the Dog Days of Summer are nearing an end. So are some of the great deals that some of my favorite pet stores are offering. Like at Doctors Foster and Smith.
I always look forward to shopping in my Doctors Foster and Smith catalogs, but most especially when they send me ones with red tag savings up to 50% off. Sales won’t last much longer though. Their current deals are good through September 4, 2007.
Since we’re getting ready to move, I’m actually trying to restrain myself from making any purchases. (I’ve already got the dang blasted cat cottage to move. Heaven knows I don’t need to buy any more apparatus for Tabby and Mr. Meow. They are spoiled enough as it is.)
Still, I have managed to find some things for my “When We Get Settled” list. Like:
• The Jumbo Hi-Back Hooded Litter Pan. Tabby’s a bit of a mess when she uses the box and this type of design might solve that. It’s 10% off now.
• Kitty Sill. Both Mr. Meow and Tabby enjoy perching on our sills, which are wide enough to accommodate them. But if our new house doesn’t afford them that luxury, I might invest in a couple of these. Right now they’re 15% off.
• Cat Napzzz Cloud Bed. A cushioned and bolstered nest for cats to snuggle in. (I want one of these for myself!) Also 15% off currently.
• Fun Tunnel. Both Mr. Meow and Tabby love huts and tunnels as well as sacks. Since this combines all of the above, it might be their housewarming present. 10% off now.
• Swiss Mountain Scratcher. I’m still trimming Tabby’s nails, but she loves her scratch pads. This might make a fun one. 15% off now.
• Feline Fantasia Catnip. Heaven knows I don’t need help getting them riled up, but Tabby and Mr. Meow do love this stuff. It’s 50% off right now and comes with a free cat toy inside. Hmmm… might have to break down and place an order after all.
