Doing the Jitterbug

This is not actually about doing the Jitterbug because I am not even sure how to do it. This concerns dancing, any kind of dancing just as long as you keep on moving to the music. You actually do not even need to have music if you have a good imagination. You can just hum along or remember the tune, as it plays in your head.

Dancing is a great way to get in shape and stay in shape. It is easy. It requires no equipment. It burns calories. It burns about 340 calories in an hour. Granted, you might not want to be dancing for an hour so dance for a half hour, which is very doable. I have found that although I do not really need music, I do enjoy it and the time moves very fast when you are distracted by your favorite tunes.

Dancing works out all of the muscles in your body. It tones everywhere if you get really enthusiastic about it. It is also good for keeping things moving along if you have trouble with constipation.

Although some forms of dance burn more calories than others do, the greatest thing about dancing is the mindless, thoughtlessness of it all. I do not want to have to concentrate too hard on my moves, as for me, dancing is a great tension reliever. It is an exercise where I do not have to think, “Am I doing this right?” There is no wrong way if you make it up as you go along. It is all right because it is your way uniquely. I am willing to bet that nobody would be able to follow my movements. This is because they are different every time. I have no pattern, I just move along with the music.

Try dancing. Put on some music to make it more enjoyable. Move your furniture out of the way. Put on some great exercise clothes and go for it. One more thing……shut your blinds. You will not want any peekers.
