DVD Review: Element Yoga for Stress Relief & Flexibility

Yoga has been shown to offer significant benefits for improving mood, relieving stress and improving flexibility. Element Yoga for Stress Relief & Flexibility is a DVD practice that has been specifically designed to encourage flexibility and reduce feelings of depression and anxiety.

The DVD contains two distinct yoga sequences. One sequence is devoted to improving flexibility and the other is intended to help increase flexibility and range of motion. The practices were filmed in a location that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, which provides a soothing experience.

The stress relief practice has been created to reduce the effects of stress and tension on the body, mind and spirit. This practice includes asanas that are known to have a calming affect on the body. There is a focus on breath throughout this practice and asanas are held for a longer period of time to stimulate relaxation.

This calming stress relief practice offers several benefits. The sequences, breathing and postures in this practice help with anxiety, clarity, improved sleep quality, and anti aging benefits. Poses such as forward bends are used to encourage relaxation and relieve stress and tension.

The other practice on this DVD is a flexibility sequence. Yoga offers a wide range of benefits, but people with less flexibility often struggle learning certain asanas. Improving flexibility is one of the main focuses of yoga. Fortunately, flexibility can be improved with regular practice. If you have limited flexibility, the flexibility sequence on this DVD can help.

The vinyasa flow sequences in this practice have been carefully constructed to reduce anxiety, alleviate pain, improve flexibility and range of motion and reduce injury risk. The DVD offers the option of playing each 30 minute sequence separately or play them together for an hour long practice to help improve flexibility and reduce anxiety and stress.
