DVD Review: Yoga for Every Body

Yoga for Every Body with yoga instructor JJ Gorrmley is a comprehensive DVD that contains practices for students of all levels from beginner to advanced. If you are looking for a DVD that won’t get boring and provides the variety of several DVDs, this may be the perfect choice for you.

As you move through the practices, you will learn the yoga asanas and progress from beginner level to an advanced practice. The many levels of practice make this DVD unique because it will still be useful as you grow and progress in your practice.

The practices on the DVD are varied and have different focuses. The routines include morning practices and evening practices. There are targeted practices that focus on specific areas of the body, such as the back, legs, abdomen and others.

You will also find practices that fit a specific need, which can change from day to day. Some of the practices are focused on a specific benefit of yoga. There are rejuvenation practice, relaxation, strength building and stress relief practices.

In addition to a variety of practices, there are practices of varying lengths. There are practices on this DVD that range from fifteen to seventy five minutes in length. This is good for providing a quick practice on hectic days and allowing for a longer practice on days when you have more time.

One of the challenges of a home practice is becoming bored using the same few DVDs day after day. This is not a problem with Yoga for Every Body. The variety in the practices and lengths of the routines ensures you will not get bored with this DVD.

The DVD is easy to navigate with menus that allow you to quickly find the practice you need. You can skip ahead and go back, if needed. If you are relatively new to the practice of yoga or just want a refresher about alignment and technique, the DVD includes a segment on technique review.
