We are seriously talking last minute here. These ideas take mere minutes to put together, but they will work surprisingly well. In fact, after pulling these ideas off, you may begin to wonder why you ever fussed so much in the past.
Check it out:
Pirate
This is one of the easiest costumes, but it’s still cool. Since it’s nearly always popular, you should have no problem finding what you need. Basically, if you have one element, you’re good to go. Yes, an eye patch, which you should be able to find at nearly any dollar store or discount center. If not, make one from black felt and yarn, in about a minute and a half. A bandana will also add to the look, and you can of course find one anywhere. Fold it in half into a triangle, place on the head, and tie from behind. Draw on a mustache with eyeliner if desired. Pop on a red shirt and some black pants or even some jeans, and you’re out the door. For an extra touch, wear a large hoop earring on one side if you have pierced ears (or sew it or pin it to the bandana if you don’t).
Mime
This is another one of the easiest costumes you’ll ever find. Dress in black, put on white gloves, and paint your face white. Add a beret if you can find one or make one from felt. Cut out a circle large enough for the top of your head then cut out a strip of felt long enough to go around the circle. Glue it to the edge of the circle with fabric glue or craft glue. Let it dry and you have a makeshift beret.
Artist
You can also use the makeshift beret for a quick and easy artist costume. Put it on and slip into an oversized button down shirt. Roll up the sleeves. Grab a long handled paintbrush and make a palette. Cut out a kidney shaped piece of cardboard and cut a small hole in one end to put your thumb through. Dab on circles of different colored paint around the edges.
