Easter at Walt Disney World

With many families planning their spring vacation around the Easter holidays, it goes to reason that some families will risk missing out on Easter activities with their families by being away from home. However, as with most holidays, Walt Disney World has not left Easter out of the fold.

If your Disney holiday causes you to miss Easter mass or your regular service, you can take advantage of Walt Disney World’s Easter services held in the Fantasia Ballroom at the Contemporary Resort. The schedule for the selected services on April 16, 1006 is as follows:

8:00am – 9:00am – Roman Catholic Mass
9:00am – 10:00am – Protestant Service
10:15am – 11:15am – Roman Catholic Mass

If you’re not the religious sort, but do like to celebrate the renewal of the earth with your family over an Easter dinner, you’ll be happy to know that all of Walt Disney World’s restaurants retain a regular schedule despite the holiday (as they do for Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving, as well). My personal recommendation would be the Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom. Serving a family style dinner, you’ll feel at home in the Colonial setting of the restaurant.

While there are currently no plans for egg hunts or special Easter activities that I can find, WDW usually does host a plethora of activities for young ones so they don’t miss the fun of the egg hunt while on vacation. Your resort will inform you of special holiday activities simply by asking and special theme park activities will be highlighted on the specific theme parks daily event calendar.

No matter the holiday, Walt Disney World makes a fantastic setting for any holiday. Enjoy the time with your family and be sure to take plenty of photos as your children enjoy the Disney-magic infused holiday.
