The Easter baskets are filled with goodies, and the eggs are all hidden in the woods. Those woods are a definite benefit to hiding Easter Eggs. The two oldest children are vibrating with anticipation, but they aren’t allowed downstairs until the youngest is up and about. it is tough for them to wait.
The Easter Bunny was in a definite rush this morning. Stopping by on his way to the next house down the road, he didn’t have any time for my questions, questions that the kids made me promise that I would ask. The main question the kids posed was very practical.
“How does the Easter Bunny get in the house if he doesn’t come down the chimney?”
“Hmm,” I replied last night. “Perhaps, because he is a bunny, he digs a little tunnel under the house?”
“He is too big for that!”
“Maybe he comes in through the door?”
“I don’t think so.” The Easter Bunny could never be quite so common as that.
“Well, maybe he knows Santa, and Santa gave him some magic?” There, I was sure I had the solution.
“Maybe,” came the doubtful reply.
While the Easter Bunny didn’t have time to tell me his secrets, he did reveal, that in one of those eggs, hidden in our woods, is a special gift. It is a gold sleigh bell. While he wouldn’t admit it directly, perhaps the legendary figures, such as the Easter Bunny and Santa do get together every so often and swap magical secrets.
Well, the kids are on their way down the stairs, so I must go. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter. And if you don’t celebrate the holiday, have a wonderful spring day. Please leave a comment when you can to let me know the highlights of the day at your house.
