Easy Ways to Organize the Bathroom

Are you tired of a messy bathroom? Rummaging through tumbles of things under the sink and dodging items that are falling out of the medicine cabinet is not the way to start or end your day. Just a few minutes of attention will have your bathroom organized in no time.

First set aside a little bit of time to devote to your organizing. A minimum of 15 minutes is good, although you might want to dedicate at least 30 minutes to the project, so you won’t feel rushed or wind up with the organizing half done.

Take all of your potions, lotions and medicines out of their storage places. Immediately toss anything that has expired or changed color or scent. These are no longer products that you want to use. Also toss any prescription medicine that you no longer take. It is not a good idea to share medication or save it for later. New illnesses require new prescriptions.

Next, take a look at the items that you are keeping and toss away any packaging for these items. You’ll have more space, if you store the products outside of the boxes that they came in. You can store your products in baskets or jars, grouping them together. For example, keep all of the items for your morning routine in one basket that you can pull out from under the sink and then return the entire basket when you are done. This keeps things nicely organized. Rolls of toilet paper can be stored in a pretty lined wicker basket. The rolls will usually fit in a square basket quite nicely.

For items such as hair dryers and curling irons, mount holders on the inside of the cabinet or from the wall to store these items. They will be easy to reach and won’t cause a mess.
