One of the sweetest Mother’s Day gifts I ever received was a scrapbook layout featuring various pictures of my daughter and a slew of her homemade art projects. My sister-in-law did an amazing job creating a photo collage using my daughter’s artsy masterpieces to embellish the page, along with several cute quotes detailing why she loves her mommy so much.
Sniff, sniff. I love that layout.
Fortunately, the page design is easy to duplicate for a mother of one or many. The collage requires at least five stand-out photos which can be placed in a random shape. You could also arrange the images so they form a heart shape or spell out the word “MOM.”
As for peppering the scrapbook page design with quotes, personalization is a very nice touch. If you have the means to obtain contributions from family members, I would highly recommend doing so. However, if you don’t have the ability to gather memorable quotes about mom from relatives, you can make a similar impact by featuring a few of these famous sayings about the woman we wouldn’t be alive without:
“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.”–Abraham Lincoln
“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity; it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.”–Agatha Christie
“Mothers are fonder than fathers of their children because they are more certain they are their own.”–Aristotle
“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”–Cardinal Mermillod
“A mother is not a person to lean on but a person to make leaning unnecessary.”–Dorothy Canfield Fisher
“I really learned it all from mothers.”–Dr. Benjamin Spock
“If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylum would be filled with mothers.”–Edgar Watson Howe
