End of the Month Check In: May 2011

Summer is knocking on the door are you ready to let it in? How is your diet going? Hitting your goals? I would love to hear from you! Let me know how you are doing and what is working for you and what isn’t working for you. Let’s support each other in the journey to lose weight and travel the path of well being. We need to learn to live well, get your mind right, and be active! If you are doing well or need support just comment or shoot me an email so we can talk about it. I know I often get so caught up in the day to day that I end the day realizing it has been another week where I didn’t work out like I wanted or I didn’t eat right or ate too much of something or not enough of something else. It happens to all of us so let’s band together. Studies have shown that those who find support groups are more successful at losing weight.

So let’s recap the month! So far I have lost only five pounds. That is success on one hand but failure on another. Success since I did not gain any weight. I am still dealing with a bad knee and time issues always seem to do me in. Failure in the sense that I could have lost three times that amount in one month. I will look on the bright side since the sun is shining and say that my little success is enough to make me work harder for the next month. In fact, that is the case. I often feel overwhelmed with losing weight. I used to be in very good shape but over the years and after having children slowly weight found a home on my thighs and hips. However, getting on the scale and seeing a dent has inspired me to keep going.

What about you? Any small successes? Big successes?
