End of the Month Check In

This “End of the Month Check In” not only falls on the end of the month but the cusp of a New Year. So how was it this month? Did you eat a family or gingerbread men or possibly their whole house? Did you succeed in keeping portions in control so your new year will not start off with new pounds? Are you committed to another year of taking care of your health and in return losing a few pounds?

December is a difficult time to think about weight loss. So if you lost weight, I am impressed! If you maintained your weight, I am proud! If you gained weight, let’s look to a brand new year with a brand new attitude. Let 2011 boast of your commitment to a journey of regaining health and not gaining pounds.

December was a month full of recipes! I hope you copied down recipes you enjoyed and shared them with others. Feel free to Tweet them to your tweeps or Facebook them to your friends. Gather up plenty to form your own recipe book for entertaining, a night in, a girls night, or dinner with the family. Introduce your family to a new lifestyle that promotes good health. Good health is usually followed by a healthy weight so let’s focus on health and allow weight concerns to be in the background as not to discourage. Many are discouraged when thinking in terms of how many pounds to lose. Think instead of how many glasses of water you drank in a day or how many veggies are on your plate or how many M&M’s can I eat and still not go over my calorie budget.

I hope you will join me for an exciting 2011, as we explore new topics, get motivated and continue on a journey of health.
