Most of us have had at least one teacher that really made an impact on our lives. If your child’s current teacher is special to him or her, your child might want to make that teacher a nice end of the year gift.
Here are some ideas:
Note Card Set
Find a box with a lid. A box from check refills is a good size. Have your child decorate both the box and the lid and then purchase a package of note cards with matching envelopes to fill the box. You might also want to add a nice pen. This is a thoughtful, usable gift.
Personalized Mug
If you can find a mug imprinted with the teacher’s name, that’s great. If not, you may want to have your child make one with a personalized mug kit. The mug can display the teacher’s name, a favorite quote, or anything else your child feels the teacher will like. Fill the mug with packets of flavored coffee or herbal tea (or both) as a nice treat for the teacher.
Giant Greeting Card
Fold a piece of poster board in half lengthwise. Have your child decorate it and trim as desired. Your child can ask the other children in his or her class to sign it in the morning before school starts. Add a class picture inside to make it extra special.
Memory Book
Purchase some attractive stationary (or print out your own design using your computer). Stack several pages together, then staple down one side to form a book. Put the class picture on the front cover, and fill the other pages with pictures of different events throughout the school year (if you don’t have enough pictures, have children draw some). Have each child sign a page and write the teacher a nice message.
