What do you like on your burger? Do you think you have what it takes to make a really great burger, that everyone will enjoy? Enter “The People’s Burger” contest from Red Robin. You could win an Apple iPad 2!
If you could put anything you wanted to on a hamburger, what kinds of foods, condiments, and “extras” would you select? Would you use one hamburger patty, or two? Perhaps you would choose chicken instead, or go with a veggie burger. Do you want cheese on that? Would you like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, blue cheese, or all of the above? What kind of bun would make this burger taste the best?
Bring this burger, that exists only in your imagination, to the Red Robin website. The restaurant is having a contest called “The People’s Burger”. I first found out about this contest when a good friend of mine, whom I follow on Twitter, sent a Tweet that linked to the burger he created, and entered into this contest. It looked really tasty!
To enter this contest, you must first build a burger. The website suggests that you “create something drool-worthy”. This is a lot of fun to play around with! Choose from the ingredient menu, that has things like bread, cheese, toppings, and sauce & seasonings on it. Pick a burger made of beef, poultry, fish, or a meatless burger. It’s entirely up to you! As you make your selections, the item you choose will be visually represented on the burger silhouette that you start out with.
When you are done crafting together the perfect burger, you get to choose from a bunch of different backgrounds. Finally, you get to give your burger creation a name, and a description. You have to enter your name and email address at this point. When you hit “submit”, your burger will be given it’s own profile page.
Now, you need people to cast a vote for your burger. People can vote for any burger that catches their attention until September 11, 2011. The Grand Prize winner will receive an Apple iPad2, and a huge party in their honor. The Grand Prize winner also gets “Free Red Robin Yummm” for a year. (This means the Grand Prize Winner will get 12 $30.00 Gift Cards to Red Robin). There will be two Runner -Ups. Each one will get their own “Free Red Robin Yummm” for a year. (Again, 12 $30.00 Red Robin Gift Cards).
