Nestled within Epcot’s Mexico pavilion is, perhaps, one of the most unique Mexican themed restaurants you’ll probably ever find. Housed inside a replica of an ancient Aztec temple, not only does the San Angel Inn fully immerse you in the lore of Mexico’s past, it also has a wide array of dishes on its menu.
As you choose from entrees such as Mahi-Mahi a la Veracruzana or Punta de Filete, you and your party can sit “under the stars” of a sky that is always just on the verge of a storm as fires burn from a faux Aztec temple seemingly in the distance from the restaurant itself. Boats float past the edge of the temple as other park visitors embark on the The River of Time, a kitschy attraction hosted inside the Mexican pavilion.
Just outside the gates of the restaurant, a Mexican marketplace bustles with activity as an authentic mariachi band plays just near the restaurant entrance. San Angel Inn also has an extremely friendly staff who are always willing to help you choose an appetizing entrée.
San Angel Inn is one of Disney’s more unique dining experiences in that it completely cocoons you in its atmosphere. Like the Sci-Fi Drive In and 50’s Prime Time Café in Disney-MGM Studios, you’ll feel as if you are truly basking in the glow of an ancient Mexican twilight.
San Angel Inn’s entrees range from $17.95 to $23.95. You can make reservations for San Angel Inn by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
