Music executive (and Mariah Carey’s ex-husband) Tommy Mottola will no doubt have a Father’s Day to remember… next year.
His wife just announced that she is expecting the couple’s first child. Mexican singer Thalia shared the good news on her website late last week. According to the message, the Mexican singer is due to give birth in a “few months.”
The 35-year-old singer says she is ready to be a mom and is excited to expand the family. In fact, earlier this year Thalia told several news outlets that she was finally ready to settle down and begin a family after years spent on the road touring. As for how her 57-year-old husband took the news Thalia says: “If it had been up to Tommy, I would have had children from the first day we married. I would already have three or four.”
I’m not sure “Without a Trace” actress Poppy Montgomery’s boyfriend, actor Adam Kaufman feels the same way. It appears that the news of his impending offspring caught him off guard (though he’s said to be excited nonetheless).
According to PEOPLE magazine, Montgomery says she and Kaufman talk about marriage “sort of peripherally” but that “it’s not a huge priority right now.” Rather, the couple says they will concentrate on their new addition, which is due in December.
Okay, she’s not pregnant… yet (or is she), but that hasn’t stopped Angelina Jolie from making headlines about expanding her family. According to the actress, she and her stud muffin boyfriend Brad Pitt are not planning to stop adding to their family any time soon.
On Thursday’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart wondered how many kids Jolie wanted in all, asking: “How high we going, you think?”
Replied Jolie: “It fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14.”
The actress revealed that she is interested in adopting “many more” children and will also consider having a few more “naturally.”
