Everybody Loves Jamie Foxx

Forget Raymond… every high-powered exec in the movie industry is apparently in love with Jamie Foxx.

The Oscar-winning actor is currently being considered for not one, but two HUGE movie roles.

The first gig would have Foxx playing the legendary late Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra. According to reports, Leonardo DiCaprio and Harry Connick Jr. were among the celebs rumored to be in contention for the role, but now Foxx has emerged as the top pick to play Ol’ Blue Eyes.

Earlier this month award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese confirmed that he would direct the biopic. However, at the time, no other names were released in connection with the project.

Fast-forward to last Friday, when reports circulated that studio bosses are now convinced Foxx has the charisma and talent to tackle the role of the iconic entertainer, who died in 1998.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star, “Jamie would seem to be born to the role. Magnificent voice, convincing acting ability, like Frank himself, born the wrong side of the tracks, makes it big against all odds, has his brush with authority. The guy’s a gift.”

Foxx, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in 2004’s “Ray,” has yet to comment on the rumors.

One guy who is talking is retired boxer Mike Tyson. The fighting machine has reportedly given Foxx the thumbs up to play him in a planned biopic.

In a recent interview, Tyson revealed that he has warmed up to the idea of Foxx impersonating him. The boxing champ admitted that he was very angry with Foxx the first time he saw the actor poking fun at him on “In Living Color,” but after meeting with the movie star, Tyson says he feels as though Foxx is the best man to portray him on the big screen.
