Excuses for Not Exercising:#1 I Do Not Have the Money

Some people think that it takes a gym membership, a diet program that involves meetings and upfront payments or fancy exercise equipment to get in shape. The fact is you do not need money to exercise. There are numerous forms of exercise and they are all right before your eyes. When you open your front door, what do you see? You have miles and miles of land before you. Do you live in an area that you do not feel safe to walk or ride your bike outdoors in? If so, then drive to an area that you do feel safe in. There are parks and trails all around most people. Take a friend with you so that you are not walking or riding alone. Do you have a community center near you? Oftentimes your local community center offers a place to walk, run or exercise free of charge. Ride your bike, dance in your house, put on a borrowed DVD from the library to exercise to, turn on the radio and exercising making it up as you go along. As long as you are moving, you are doing well. All you need to do is get your heart target rate up there for approximately 15 minutes and maintain it for your exercise to be effective. Sit-ups, push-ups and other toning exercises are also great ways to keep in shape. You can climb your stairs, lift your canned goods if you do not have weights, walk or jog in place or purchase a cheap mini trampoline for about $20 and exercise all without emptying your bank account on gym equipment, exercise classes or gym memberships. The list goes on and on. There are so many ways in which one can exercise that this excuse is not acceptable.

Physical fitness is good for your health. Consult your doctor before taking part in any exercise plan.
