Expensive Handbags We Can Only Hope to Afford One Day

As a work at home mom, unless I win the lottery, chances are I won’t be carrying any of these handbags any time soon. Actually, even if I DID win the lottery, I think it would make me terribly nervous to carry a handbag that cost thousands of dollars. But, we can dream, can’t we? Here is a list of some of the most expensive handbags out there – look for them on the arm of your favorite actress!

The Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Handbag

At $42,000, this isn’t the most expensive handbag on the list, but it certainly has a special something, although many admit the bag itself isn’t that handsome. It is made up on fifteen different patterns used on other Vuitton handbags. Why does this handbag cost so much? Well, you know how actresses and A-listers love to be exclusive and Vuitton only made 24 of these patchwork handbags. So while it may be a bit unsightly (poor little rich handbag), it is rare and in demand.

The Lana Marks Cleopatra Clutch

This lovely alligator clutch comes with 1,500 black and white round diamonds. Like the patchwork handbag, it is rare too – only one is made each year. It has made an appearance twice at the Academy Awards, once with Charlize Theron and once with Helen Mirren. Can’t afford the $100,000 price tag? Maybe you need to look at the much more reasonable priced Gadino by designer Hilde Palladino. It also has diamonds, but costs only $38,470.

The Nancy Gonzalez Porousus Bag

This handbag is made of ring lizard skin and goes for $30,000.

Chanel Croc Biarritz Handbag
You know with the name Chanel, it is going to be a simple yet classy bag. There have been eight of these black crocodile skin handbags made. The price is $43,150.

The Hermes Birkin

Now we are talking big bucks! The Hermes Birkin is the Mercedes of handbags. This custom-made bag has 9 carat of diamonds set in white gold. Final price tag for this beautiful bag? $148,000.
