Fall Disney Cruise Special Offers

the disney magic

The Disney Parks aren’t the only Disney vacation destinations that give discounts from time to time. The Disney Cruise line has its own special offers page, so today we’ll check out the upcoming deals. One special deal was actually just announced on the official Disney Parks blog.

Want to have a unique Halloween that you’ve never experienced before? Take a Disney cruise over the holiday. Cruise ships transform for Halloween (and, presumably, allow all of their passengers to wear costumes). If you travel aboard a Disney ship over Halloween, expect to find: Disney characters dressed up in special seasonal duds, a costume party complete with music, dancing, and tons of candy, and a costume contest in the grown-ups’ nighttime entertainment district.

Those aren’t the only Halloween celebrations on a Disney cruise. Themed movies will air in guest staterooms and on Funnel Vision by the family pool, and on Halloween the chefs will serve seasonal treats like chocolate cake with pumpkin filling and “Witch’s Brew.”

I promised that this would be a special offers post, and it is. The Disney Parks blog highlighted Halloween on a cruise ship because there’s currently a deal on offer for Caribbean cruises over the holiday. Book now for the 7-night Western Caribbean cruise departing from Galveston, TX on October 27, and you can receive 25% off the prevailing rates. The cruise visits Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.

If a trip over Halloween doesn’t work for you, the Disney Cruise Special Offers page has other deals. The current top one is in celebration of the cruise line’s two newest ships: the Dream and the Fantasy. The special rates are both valid for September. The first offer is for tickets starting at $660/person for a 4-night cruise of the Bahamas on the Disney Dream.

The second is for tickets starting at $999/person for a 7-night West or East Caribbean cruise aboard the Fantasy. Again, both rates are applicable only for cruises taken in September 2012. I know September is right around the corner, but there are still cruises available.

The other main deal going right now is for the Pixar Cruise. The cruise is a joint venture between the Disney Cruise line and Pixar Animation Studios, to create a vacation filled to the brim with characters and activities related to your favorite computer animated film. Characters from the movies, including Mr. Incredible, Woody and Buzz, Remy, Carl, and more, will roam the ship looking to spend time with their fans. Activities on board include behind-the-scenes previews of upcoming movies with Pixar filmmakers.

The seven-night California coast cruise sails from Los Angeles and stops at San Francisco, San Diego, and Ensenada, Mexico. Choose one of the four departure dates: September 16, 23, 30, or October 7, and you’ll receive tickets at the special rate of $599/person.

The Disney Cruise line has two additional special offers relating to cruises departing from Galveston, TX , as promotions given that the cruise line starts departures from Galveston for the first time this September. The first is for 7-day West Caribbean cruises on most departure dates from September 22 through November 10. Tickets for most of those cruises start at $599/person.

The other deal involves getting special verandah rooms for the price of ocean view rooms. This is valid, again, for most West Caribbean sailings departing out of Galveston, this time from September 22 through December 21.
