Fall Travel to Maine

One of the most gorgeous places in the United States in the fall is Maine. This small state transforms with incredible color of red, orange, yellow, and green. If you love to travel, and are looking for a unique destination with the kids, you might consider staying at Twin Pine Cabins. We stayed there last year and it was absolutely, magnificent. With the crisp air of the fall coupled with the charm of New England, my kids were overwhelmed with delight.

Although you can travel to Maine any time of year, the fall is just a very special time. During this particular season, you can take the kids on a moose tour, allowing them to get a look at these massive creatures up close. Of course, fishing is always fun in Maine. There, you can fish off land or take a charter boat to fish for salmon. The entire experience will leave a lifelong imprint on the family.

While in Maine, you will have time to visit a number of lighthouses, which is also exciting and fun. With an abundance of wildlife resources, you can be sure there will be little time for boredom. The people of Maine are warm and hospitable, the food incredibly delicious, and the cabins quaint and homey. If you plan to stay in the Katahdin Region, I would highly recommend you check out Twin Pine Cabins.

Although you would not have all the modern amenities you are accustomed to, this type of “roughing it” is what makes this resort so wonderful. You will enjoy your choice of 10 log cabins, which come in three sizes to fit any family’s needs. Best of all, each cabin sits on Lake Millinocket shores, providing a beautiful view and tons of fun by the water. In addition, these cabins are affordable so you will have opportunity to enjoy other things in the state.

The cabins at Twin Pines comes complete with housekeeping, bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, utensils, and shared services such as picnic area, grilling area, game room, and Jacuzzi. For families of six to eight, you could go with the small to medium sized cabin. While there, you will find yourself surrounded by the traditions of Maine. However, if you have a larger family or want to vacation with friends and their children, then you would want the larger cabin. This too offers an amazing view of the stream and mountain range.
