If you have children and you have not experienced micro-suede, you must try it. Even if you only purchase an accent pillow made from this wondrous fabric to test it out, you simply must experience this revolutionary product.
I did not believe the hype, but the furniture store guaranteed the sofa and chair I wanted to buy… for life. I was told that everything from blood or tar could be wiped off, or my furniture would be replaced.
Of course, I was skeptical, but I really wanted this furniture. It was a beautiful creamy-beige suede, which as a mother of four I would never usually consider, but I fell in love with it. It looked great and it was tremendously comfortable, but I kept walking away to look for something more sensible, something in a darker color.
My husband knew how much I liked it that gorgeous micro-suede furniture, so he kept persuading me that I should just go for it. Pretty daring, considering the fact that he’s seen our kids in action. The salesman continued to promise me that the furniture could withstand anything, and he even threw a cup of red Kool-aid on it and wiped it away to prove it to me. I was impressed.
Immediately after my beautiful new furniture was delivered, we got to test it. My little one, not realizing she had spaghetti sauce on her pants, ran over and plopped down in the chair. It did come right off, much to my relief.
I’ve also had the pleasure of watching dirt and even marker disappear after a little scrubbing with mild detergent and warm water. The process isn’t exactly “effortless” as it was described, but it is still quite amazing. Things that would never come off other fabrics wash away.
My micro-suede pieces were comparable in price to other furniture too, even though I would have gladly paid more if I had known how great it would turn out to be.
