Tis the season to be booking holiday cruises, ski vacations and tropical getaways. With students on Christmas break, planes and hotels will be filled to the gills next month.
If you haven’t solidified your family’s holiday vacation plans yet, you might want to get cracking. Parents magazine is lending a hand to procrastinating moms and dads by publishing its annual list of top 10 places in snowy destinations that cater to families.

In addition, each resort offers rates for less than $250 per room per night or $400 for an all-inclusive daily package for a family of four.

If skiing is not your cup of tea, then consider traveling to Dearborn, Michigan this holiday season. Your LEGO-loving kids will thank you for it.
The city is hosting a LEGO-inspired exhibit dubbed “LEGO Castle Adventure” at the Henry Ford Museum through January 3, 2010.
The kid-friendly exhibit includes a suit of armor, a dragon and models of castles made entirely of colorful LEGO blocks. In addition, the museum is offering activities, such as jousting using foam-rubber lances and LEGO building contests through the holidays.
