Family Fun Week in Review

What a week in Family Fun! We learned new ways to store old things, were prompted to reflect on our history and were given a few wonderful ideas to make Valentine’s Day fun for our kids at school. More than anything though, this past week made our mouths-water with talk of succulent ribs, grocery store samples, root beer floats and fresh fruit salad. As always, the family fun bloggers were hard at work filling our minds with inventive ideas for pleasant activities and humorous escapades all while trying to expand our collective waistline!

Lauri offered a Project Box to both eliminate clutter in your cabinets and provide your kids with hours of imaginative fun.

Jeff
reminded us to think about our own local history and suggested paying a visit to a hometown museum.

We took a trip down memory lane as Lauri made us very nostalgic and quite thirsty for Root Beer Floats.

Jeff shared his family’s love of making weekly trips to the Grocery Store for endless culinary possibilities and free food samples.

Sherry gave us tips on different ways of surprising our children at school on Valentine’s Day.

Black History Month has begun and Jeff offered ideas on how to celebrate by incorporating cultural and regional cuisine and music into our daily routines.

Craft projects need not be long-term. Lauri gave us an easy way to be crafty with immediate and delightful results using thumbprint art.

Traci offered up some handy ad-hoc storage solutions for all the coloring books, stickers, paintbrushes and leftover magazines lying around the house.

Lauri lends a hand in the kitchen with a great idea for making fruit salad with your children.

Traci doesn’t disappoint as she takes us for a walk through Target’s dollar aisle.

Kelly makes her debut in recanting a hilarious tale of a family road trip gone terribly wrong.

See you next week for more Family Fun!
