Family Game Night: Name 5

Game: Name 5

Made by: Endless Games

Age Recommendation: 12 and up

Number of Players: 2 to 4 people or teams

Game Description:

Can you name five things that could make a person sneeze? How about five TV dads? Five video games? Vegetables beginning with the letter a? Name 5 is the outrageous party game from Endless Games that asks the easy questions you know the answers to, but can you get them off the tip of your tongue? Sure you know a couple of Tom Hanks movies and a few Tina Turner songs, but can you name five?

Game Play:

The game is set up for 2 to 4 people or teams. On a turn the player rolls the die and moves the pawn to the appropriate space on the board. The player then picks up a Name 5 Challenge card and reads the challenge that corresponds with the color on the board. Then the timer begins. The player has 30 seconds to answer the challenge. Challenges include: name 5 orange foods, name 5 movie sequels, name 5 presidents, name 5 nicknames for the name Elizabeth, or name 5 things found in space.

There are also special spaces on the board; All Play, Flip Flop, Wild and Double Down. These keep the game interesting and fun.

How did we like it on Family Game Night?

I have two children ages 12 and 14 and two ages 6 and 3. The age recommendation is suitable. If you play on teams you will have more leeway to add in younger family members. We always play with everyone and pair up a younger child with a parent or an older child or simple play three against three. For this game we allowed one younger child to be on Team Mom and one to be on Team Dad. The game play is simple and the questions are fun which makes this a great game to relax, laugh, and spend some time together. It is also a fun game for youth events and company. I love low key games that are based in fun sometimes. Name 5 is the perfect low key game that offers enough challenge to never be boring but enough laughs to make you want to play it over and over again. I also grabbed a deck of cards to bring with me on a long car drive to keep everyone entertained and occupied. Simply an endless good time.
