Made by: Retro Games
Age Recommendation: All Ages
Number of Players: 6 or more, teams, party game
Game Description:
Reverse Charades is a hilarious twist on the classic game of charades. Instead of one person acting out a clue for a team to guess, in Reverse Charades, a team acts out clues for one person to guess. The goal is to guess as many words as possible in 60 seconds. It’s a fast-paced, fiercely fun team completion that’s an absolute riot for families, work teams, school groups, and party-goers.
Reverse Charades is a hilarious new twist on charades! Split into teams and go! Each team chooses a guesser and the rest of the team acts out the words–each team has one minute to guess as many words as possible. If the acting team doesn’t like a word, they can pass–but only once per round!
Game Play:
A great game for party goers! If you have a large group of people for a gathering or at a family picnic this is the game to play. You gather up all ages and split into teams. One person from the team guesses while the others act out several different words at the same time! It is that simple and simplicity is the key for this fast paced and hilarious game.
How did we like it on Family Game Night?
We tried the game out for Family Game Night with the minimum amount of people recommend; six. I have children ages 14, 12, 7, and 3. Of course there is my husband and me and our ages are immaterial. We split up in teams of three and three. Everyone had a spectacular time. Even those too young to read the card were able to participate since another person acting out a word just read the card to the younger player. There is nothing cuter than seeing a three year old play charades! As the night progressed and we grew sore from laughing, the kids decided to act out the cards and allow the old parents to be the guessers. So, we easily adapted the game without ruining the fun. The game works best with a minimum of six players as it suggests. The more the merrier and the funnier though! It is just a good game to laugh and spend some fun time with friends and family. No pressure and all fun! Rarely do you find a game that all ages can play and have fun…this is one of those games.
