Game: Zero
Made by: University Games
Ages: 12+
Game Synopsis:
If you have always wondered what it feels like to be a complete Zero, then Zero Game is for you! Zero is the exciting family game that asks players to search their minds for the “least popular” aspects of pop culture. More than 450 people were surveyed in the US, UK, Australia and Mexico and University Games tabulated their answers to hundreds of questions. Now, you and your friends can match wits with them to see who comes up with the “least” likely answer. Each Card lists all of the correct answers to each question and points are awarded based on the popularity of the answer. The winner is the player who scores closest to zero when the game ends! For 2 – 6 players, ages 12 and up. Contents Include: 270 Question Cards, Game Board, 6 Moving Pieces, 18 Tokens and Instructions.
My Thoughts:
Zero contains a lot of fun questions to keep you and your family entertained. The questions range from quirky to challenging to fun. I love the twist of this game. Instead of the common trivia game that causes you to think of what the most people would answer you have to think of the least. That will cause some hard thinking and fun conversations around your dining room table. The game is perfect for holiday get togethers, youth activities, or family game night. This game does not translate well to children too much younger than 12. The questions will require knowledge and experience that would not be suited to allowing a 6 year old to play. The questions are not “mature” in any way but ask about movies, presidents, and some science and language questions. It would be “boring” to a younger crowd. So if you have older children this will be a refreshing change from child like games.
