Far East Asparagus
A perfect accompaniment to any homemade asian main dish.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb asparagus
2 tbs vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
2 tbs water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Snap off and discard tough ends of asparagus, then cut spears into 1/4 inch slanting slices.
2. Place wok or heavy skillet over high heat; when hot, add oil.
3. When oil begins to heat, add garlic and ginger and stir once; then add asparagus and stir-fry for 1 minute.
4. Add water; cover and cook until asparagus is tender-crisp to bite (2 to 3 minutes).
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 10 minutes
