Fashion Files: Trump’s Hair and A Rocker Turned Designer

IS TRUMP GETTING A TRIM?

So much has been said (and written) about Donald Trump’s hairdo (or don’t) that it came as no surprise to me that the real estate mogul is finally putting his hair where his mouth is.

I am not a fan of professional wrestling, but I may be swayed to tune into Wrestlemania 23 on April 1st. According to news reports, that’s when viewers will get to see one of the “most anticipated wrestling matches in history.” So, what does a wrestling match have to do with Donald Trump and his hair? Trump and World Wrestling Entertainment owner Vince McMahon are putting their locks on the line when they each pick a wrestler to represent them in the ring during Wrestlemania 23 at Detroit’s Ford Field on April Fool’s Day. The loser may end up looking like a fool. According to a Detroit paper, in the “Battle of the Billionaires” the loser will get his head shaved after the match.

Losing may not be a bad thing for Trump; after all it may finally put to rest the rumors that his hair is glued on.

SHAKIRA’S NEW SHIRTS

In a previous blog I wrote about singer Justin Timberlake’s foray into the world of fashion, now word comes that fellow musician Shakira is taking a stab at it too. The rocker just unveiled Hard Rock Café’s latest Signature Series T-shirt with an image she created herself.

The black tee features a hot pink guitar, with a set of angel wings on the base that form into a blazing pink heart, and the neck of the guitar wrapped in flowers. The Latin American singing sensation becomes the 23rd rocker and second female artist to join the Hard Rock’s T-shirt program. She joins musicians such as Elton John, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks and Ozzy Osbourne in helping to raise millions of dollars for a number of charitable causes worldwide.

Proceeds from the sale of the new T-shirt will benefit Shakira’s Fundacion Pies Descalzos. The organization created by the singer aims to provide opportunities for children who are victims of the violence in Colombia. It also provides funds to build new schools and improve the infrastructure of existing schools.
