Fashion Files: Winning Dress Revealed and Paris Does China

Just in time for the holidays you can look runway ready in a dress that made its debut on national television.

“Project Runway” contestant Victorya Hong made history on last week’s episode when actress Sarah Jessica Parker chose her super short dress to appear as part of her Bitten line sold at Steve & Barry stores nationwide.

The “Sex and the City” star was the week’s guest judge on the Bravo reality show about fashion and told viewers that Hong’s design was by far the best one of the group. Hong (who was paired with Kevin Christiana) and the other contestant teams were faced with the challenge of creating outfits appropriate for Parker’s casual sportswear collection, which is noticeably cheaper than other celebrity clothing lines.

In the end Hong’s design — a neck-tie trapeze dress and mini vest—won.

The Bitten interpretation of the dress will be offered in black or burgundy for $19.98, and the vest that goes with it will come in gray or black for $14.98. And get this—–both items are already available at select Steve & Barry stores. Meanwhile, Hong’s original dress will be on display at Steve & Barry’s flagship Manhattan store for several weeks.

Wonder if Paris Hilton will pick one up when she returns from China.

The fashionable former jailbird spent the Thanksgiving holiday checking out Shanghai fashions in anticipation of the MTV Style Awards.

The hotel heiress/author/singer/actress/perfume designer/reality TV star spent two days touring China’s commercial capital before attending the gala awards for Chinese style and fashion trendsetters.

While in Shanghai Hilton reportedly shopped til she was almost dropped by an elderly Chinese woman who wanted to have her picture taken with the blonde bombshell. In between her day long shopping expeditions Hilton sampled authentic Chinese dishes, which she washed down with a can of good ol’ American Coca-Cola.
