Fat Burning Foods

Eating to burn calories sounds crazy. However, there are foods that aid in speeding up your metabolism. These are foods you need to implement in your diet if you want to jumpstart your weight loss plan. Now, these foods will not do all the work for you. It is also possible to lose weight without eating these foods. However, it is nice to know that there is a little help from nature out there for our weight loss goals. Here are just a few of the foods that help burn off calories and speed up your metabolism.

Hot Peppers: Capsaicin is a compound in chili peppers that gives it heat. The heat can also burn off calories in your body. If you dare, eat raw but you can certainly cook them or eat them in their dried form. Add some cayenne pepper to your foods such as soups, eggs, meat, or anything you can handle it on! Don’t start out using the whole bottle. Go slowly.

Lentils: Can you believe it? This is a great tip for me since I have low iron. Not only am I getting older and had children, I have low iron, and all affect your metabolism. Not iron specifically, but any lack of nutrient in your body will cause your body to slow down. Lentils are packed with iron. Good news for iron deficient people like me!

Green Tea: Okay, I love ice green tea and can easily drink the recommended four cups a day to increase metabolism. Just that alone is credited with losing 6 pounds in a month. The EGCG is what speeds up your metabolism temporarily. Now, don’t go adding a ton of refined white sugar to your drink. If you want it sweet add some honey. I highly recommend Yogi’s Blueberry Slim Life Green Tea. It tastes great with no sweeteners.
