Dads love to put things the kids make in their office. My dad always loved taking things we made for him to work to display the love we had for him. My husband filled his office with drawings and cards the kids made for him. They may not always act like they love it or appreciate it but never doubt it does mean a lot to them. Nothing is more precious then little hands making something just for the ones they love. It also teaches them a special way to express love. My seven year old loves to draw things for me and my husband to show her love. She presents each drawing as a gift which comes straight from the heart. Father’s Day is the perfect time for children to honor their father through handmade creations. It never has to be fancy just from the heart.
Design a Tie
Supplies:
Paper
Scissors
Crayons
Instructions:
Print out the tie template. Have your child design a tie just for daddy. When your child is finished you can write “Happy Father’s Day” on the tie and then have your child sign the back. You can write, “Designed by” and then the child’s name. Once you are finished simply cut it out and present it to dad.
You can use the craft to decorate a gift box, perhaps a box that contains a tie!
Enchanted Learning has many crafts that children can make for dad. Some will require more help then others however they are all fun. I find this site has the most crafts that will not require you to go out and buy a ton of supplies. That is always good with little ones and for moms! It will be especially nice for quick crafts for all holidays and for dad this year.
