Finding new inspiration for scrapbooking can sometimes be a challenge, but looking through a new scrapbook magazine is a guaranteed way to find some sort of new ideas. Here are a few more of my favorite sources of inspiration.
Scrapbook Answers. In addition to this being a great magazine, they also include a great CD with each issue that includes fonts for you to install on your computer, downloadable images and project ideas. This magazine has a lot more digital scrapbooking influence along with more of an emphasis on using more traditional art materials on the scrapbook layouts. Along with the great layouts that they feature, they also have some great project ideas. This is a great magazine for someone looking some something a little different with fresh, new ideas each month.
Cards. This is a monthly publication that is put out my Scrapbook Trends Magazine. Making cards is a natural extension of the craft for many scrapbookers since cards are such a great way to use extra scraps and embellishments. Cards offers many card ideas in each issue that are divided into popular categories such as birthdays, thank you, graduation, wedding, friends and much more. The categories change in each issue with some of the more popular ones such as birthday being featured in each issue. There is a clear supply list given for each card along with tips from the creator.
Papercrafts. This magazine does not feature any scrapbook layouts, but it does give loads of inspiration for using your scrapbook supplies. They share ideas where the creator created a complete set of items such as a party invitation, place cards and a coordinating goody bag for the guests to take home. If you are mainly just interesting in scrapbooking, you can apply many of the ideas from this magazine on your layouts
All of these magazines have calls for layouts and projects where you can submit your work. Each of the websites has information on what type of project they are looking for and the deadlines for each project. Most of the submissions just require that you email a picture of your layout/project and then if they select your submission, you will mail your original in to the magazine. They will return it once they finish photographing it.
