Find Peace Through Temple Attendance

If you are struggling with a decision or you are just feeling like your life is out of balance, you may want to consider going to the temple. The temple is a place where you can go to seek comfort, personal revelation, and it allows you to serve others. Temple attendance can give you the strength to deal with the difficult times of you life.

It is important to make temple trips a priority. You should go to the temple as often as possible. If you are about an hour away from the temple you may want to try for once a month. If you are more than that you should try to go at least a few times a year. Once you schedule to go the temple, you need to make sure that you do not let anything get in the way of attending the temple.

You should prepare yourself for each trip. Throughout the day take time to contemplate the issues you are dealing with. Spend extra time during the day or the week before your temple visit in prayer and scripture study to prepare yourself for your visit. Spiritually preparing for the trip will help you to make the most of your visit.

Plan your schedule so that you do not need to rush to the temple. It is important to take into account traffic, road construction and the time of day that you are traveling to the temple. You should also add the extra time it will take you to get a sitter as well.

Finally if you cannot go with your spouse, take the time to go by yourself. If it is a matter of coordinating schedules then you should each go on your own on a regular basis. If there are other issues involved, you should still strive to attend the temple. It can benefit you and your entire family.
